My Story

My story is nothing short of a roller coaster ride with challenges both on emotional and physical fronts. But somehow, I realized quite early that I am a fighter and a survivor and embraced each hurdle as a stepping stone to push ahead. Been in and out of hospitals during my childhood and managed to battle it out and come out quite alright.

Two major phases of depression and constant reaffirmations to myself later, I emerged quite the happy and positive person I am today.

To start with, I believe that if I can be where I am today and undergo the transformation I experienced, anybody can and that is what drives me to help other people in their battles and challenges.

I call myself a Personal Transformation Architect because I believe that no individual is a stagnant pond. We are all flowing rivers. The only thing needed is to remove the barriers to the flow and dig up the path to let the river reach the destination. You have it in you and I believe in you!

Holding a BA in English Literature, I successfully completed the Vantage Level BEC (Business English Certification) exam conducted by Cambridge University, England, with an A Grade. Currently doing 280 Hour International Advanced Diploma in TESOL/TEFL with Specializations in Business English Teacher Training & Train the Trainer Program with Asian College of Teachers.

Did a 7-year stint in the Corporate world, working in different profiles namely, Member Services Executive, Content Writer, Technical Writer, Senior Executive Corporate Communications and Relations Manager. Pursued my passion in movie making also for a short while and finally decided to settle down to a profession which I identified as my calling. The desire to help people landed me in the domain of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Life Coaching.

I am a Jack of all trades or a skilled one on at least some of them and I take it in the most positive angle possible.

Nobody can be a total master in any trade and I love to keep learning new subjects that interest me. Other than my primary interests in NLP and Coaching, my other interests branch out to Soft Skills Training, Body Language Training, Public Speaking Training, Language Training, Content Writing, Copywriting, Photography and Film Making.

Photography has been a form of expression and a feeling of liberation for my soul.

My passion for photography started 15 years ago and it has been a journey of constant learning and discovery. As of now, I have conducted 4 photography exhibitions, of which two were organised and curated by me to promote budding photographers, as an inspiring mentor. Designed 2 photobooks and recently concluded a 366-day Pandemic photography project. From the start of the lockdown in March 2020, I found a way to keep myself entertained and focussed by clicking one pic a day from within and around my house. Each unique picture was then connected to a brief storyline related to the current situation. I also do photography workshops and webinars to share my passion and knowledge with other enthusiasts and kids. My photographs are put up under my personal brand of photography, Maverickeye.

Content Writing

I have never thought about the pen being mightier than the sword but know for a fact that words carry more weight than anything most of the time. My love for English language stemmed from incessant reading and some amazingly wonderful teachers during my school days. The trysts with writing had me working in different aspects of the art. Right from being a content writer (both on creative and technical side) to writing two scripts in Malayalam, my native language, to helping out friends with exciting captions with their businesses, to writing public speeches and finally, writing an English novel at this point of time, I am ride a steady wave in the sea of written content.

Travelling

I wanted to make a lot of money in life, mostly to explore the world and meet more people during the travels. Life happens mostly outside your home and it shapes you most as an individual.

In the words of Mark Twain,
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts." - Mark Twain.

My travel adventures have always been one of ruggedness and keeping close contact with local life and culture. Met some wonderful individuals along the way by keeping an open mind and learned and evolved a lot in the process and journey too.
